The conference format features a smorgasboard of topics that will be of interest to all persons involved with the agricultural industry.  The sessions include:  a 2009 cattle marketing outlook, forage options for beef cattle, the current grain market situation and outlook, issues dealing with farm family transitions and successions, lease arrangements, update on precision agriculture, soil analysis and interpretation, and weed control with new herbicide updates.  All sessions will be led by faculty of Kansas State University.  Registration and refreshments begin at 8:30, then a Farm Bill Update at 9:00, led by Troy Dumler.  Breakout sessions will follow the rest of the day and lunch will be served by area businesses.  Registration is $$10 per person before December 17th.  After that it is $$20 per person.  For complete conference brochure, contact one of the following Extension offices:  Barber Cty (620-886-3791)  Comanche Cty (620-582-2411)  Harper Cty (620-842-5445)  Kingman Cty (620-532-5131)  Kiowa Cty (620-723-2156)  Pratt Cty (620-672-6121)  Stafford Cty (620-549-3502).
