This summer, Great Plains Theatre is launching an exciting new offering which will share some of the talents of their visiting professional company with the residents of Kansas. Each summer, Great Plains brings a group of professionals into Abilene to perform in their summer season. This summer, we have asked some of those professionals to teach a workshop in something that thrills them. Anyone old enough to be an appropriate participant in a 2-hour workshop, with or without any past theatrical experience, is welcome. You don’t have to be a performer or even a “theatre person” to take a workshop. You just have to think that one of the workshops sounds interesting and sign up. We will offer 3 sets of workshops: 2 nights during the run of each summer show. The workshops will be from 6-8pm on the Wednesday and Thursday nights of each production. The workshop descriptions are below.  Each class is only $15 for the whole 2 hours, as GPT is underwriting the actual cost to make this available as an asset to the Abilene and adjoining communities.

A full description of each course and instructor is available at the Great Plains Theatre or on our web site at www.greatplainstheatre.com Here are the names of classes being taught throughout the summer:
