The new Burrton Food Pantry opened for the first time on Saturday, Sept. 5,  in Fellowship Hall of Burrton United Methodist Church. The food bank is a joint effort of Burrton’s Interchurch Council, which is made up of Burrton United Methodist Church, First Christian Church, Burrton, and Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. The bank and is open first and third Saturdays of the month from 8-10 a.m. There are no income requirements to participate. The only requirement is that you live in the 67020 ZIP code area.  For those wishing to donate the best way to help is through a monetary donation. If it is $50 or more, the church can obtain a matching grant from Monsanto. For more info, contact Pastor Kim Benson or Faith Martin, food pantry director.
