Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism will not be renewing the concessionaire contract with the current marina operators at Cheney State Park. A state spokesman said the marina was found to be non-compliant in recent inspections. All boat slips are being removed, which means customers have until the end of the month to find winter storage for their boats. A new marina may not be operational before summer, but the boat ramp will still be available for use.
