Kansas State Fair “passport” program to educate children about agriculture

Children attending the Kansas State Fair, September 9-18, will have the chance to learn more about agriculture in Kansas when they pick up the new AG Passport. Youth can pick up a passport at one of the five stops, which includes agriculture department in the Pride of Kansas Building, the birthing center, milking parlor, Ag Central in the Ad Astra Pavilion and the Prairieland Partners booth at 300 Fort Leavenworth on the fair grounds. After the passport is completed children can receive a prize from the administration office.

There are agriculture events for all ages include Farm Bureau Demonstrations, Rub A Dub Dub, What’s in the Tub, Sheep Dog Demonstration, Agriland, Sheep shearing.
