The City Commission has offered preliminary support for a multi-family housing project immediately west of Walmart off of Windward Drive. The plan includes 62 units of two- and three-bedroom duplexes, triplexes and quadplexes. Total project cost is estimated at $10.5 million.
At the January 12 City Commission meeting, staff will bring proposed changes to the city’s ordinance regarding chickens kept within the city limits. The current ordinance requires anyone seeking to harbor chickens to obtain consent of all their neighbors within 200 feet.
