Newton: Flannelbacks to perform at Warkentin House Museum

Warkentin House Museum’s fundraiser dinner featuring live music from the Flannelbacks will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, and feature an outdoor meal on the lawn of the beautiful Victorian house museum in Newton. The menu includes herb-roasted chicken, roasted red potatoes a tossed salad and choice of dessert.

The Flannelbacks will bring their bluegrass/folk sounds to the event. Formed in the fall of 2014, the group hails from Bethel College and has found enjoyment and success in recreating favorite tunes and performing original songs. With a mix of guitar, banjo, mandolin, upright bass, harmonica, dobro, and harmony voice, the Flannelbacks appeal to old and young alike.

The group is comprised of Bethel College students Braden Unruh, Matthew Graber, Chase Stucky, and Tim Regier. Tickets to the event are $40 for adults and $20 for youth age 14 and younger.
