Special Ceremony For Salina Veteran

84-year-old Jack Gallagher who has served as the sergeant-at-arms for the last 44 years during Memorial Day and Veterans Day Ceremonies, was honored with a certificate and a patriotic quilt that was sewn especially for him. The 2016 Veterans Day Ceremonies was the last year that he will serve as the sergeant-at-arms for the service, as he is stepping down. Gallagher entered the Marine Corps in 1950 and retired after serving in Korea and Vietnam, then went on to be a Salina Police Officer for 22 years.
