She recommended the city have a feasibility study done which the Stafford County Economic Development would assist with. St. John has been without a grocery store since Dillons closed in February of 2016. The residents of St. John voted to implement a 1% sales tax to take effect in January 2017. The funds generated from the tax will help with cost to establish a new grocery store and to further business development that includes infrastructure development to support new businesses.
