Marlon Wayans to perform at Wichita State

Actor and comedian Marlon Wayans will perform a comedy show at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, at Wichita State University.

This is the first appearance at WSU for Wayans, whose films have grossed more than $736 million. Also a producer, writer and film director, Wayans is commonly recognized for his role as Marcus Copeland in “White Chicks” and as Shorty Meeks in “Scary Movie” and “Scary Movie 2.”

He has also appeared on several popular television programs, including “In Living Color,” “Children’s Hospital,” “Second Generation Wayans” and “The Wayans Bros.”

Doors open for the WSU event, sponsored by the Student Activities Council, at 7 p.m. Seating is general admission, and tickets are on sale now through http://www.selectaseat.com, Select-a-Seat outlets and at the door.

Wichita State students can purchase one discount ticket each for $5 at Student Involvement, Rhatigan Student Center, Room 216. Students must present a valid Wichita State ID and pay with cash or check. All discount and online ticket sales will end at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 27.

Tickets for the general public are $20.
