Great Plains Nature Center, 6232 E. 29th Street North, and the Wichita Audubon offer bird walks the second Saturday of each month. The next scheduled walk is planned for October 8. This informal look at the birds that use the habitat of the Chisholm Creek Park. These are free casual walks that require no birding experience to enjoy and learn about the park’s feathered friends. Meet at the main (east) parking lot at 8 A.M. The walk will include one to two mile of walking on paved paths. Each walk will take approximately 90 minutes. More information can be found on the Wichita Audubon Society Facebook page.
