Augusta Wrestler Elected to Kansas National Wrestling Hall of Fame

Former wrestling coach Terry Alley was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the eighth annual Kansas National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum Induction Ceremony last week in Derby.  Alley, who was selected to represent Augusta, was one of six inductees, as was his brother, Larry Alley.  Alley coached 81 state medalists and 30 state champions during his 35 years as head coach.  He finished his career record of 273-146.  He has earned numerous Coach of the Years honors, including two National Wrestling Coaches Association honors, one for Kansas, one for all of Region 6.  He also earned the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association honors several times, including the Regional Coach of the year in 2009.
