The Kansas State Fair runs September 8th through the 17th. With so many different exhibits, shows and food items, the State Fair is sure to have something for everyone.

While you are making your way across the fairgrounds, make sure to stop by Centennial Hall on the Northwest corner of the grounds. Inside, you will find loads of talent, creativity and hard work on display. 4-H members from across the state will have their projects in the Centennial Hall building. These projects have been made by youth who have participated in 4-H projects in their counties and been awarded a qualifying ribbon at their county fair before coming to the Kansas State Fair.

I have been a volunteer in the Centennial Hall building at the State Fair for many years now. Each year I am amazed by the talent shown in the 4-H exhibits. Through project work like the exhibits at the fair, Kansas 4-H is teaching life skills and building tomorrow’s leaders. Trust me when I say, it is worth the trip to Hutchinson to admire the 4-H exhibits, watch a livestock or fashion revue show and experience all that the fair has to offer.
