Via Christi to host Medical Mission at Home: A Day of Free Healthcare this Saturday

What: Via Christi Health will host its first Wichita Medical Mission at Home: A Day of Free Healthcare in collaboration with Wichita State University, the City of Wichita and dozens of other community providers and organizations.

 

The event is part of Ascension’s Medical Mission at Home program, whose 2016 events drew participation by 6,243 volunteers, reaching 6,672 participants.

 

When: Saturday, April 8

The day will start at 9 a.m. with a kick-off program, at which representatives from Via Christi, WSU and the City of Wichita will offer brief remarks, followed by prayer and a blessing of the hands.

 

Where: Fairmount Park, 1647 N. Yale

Please check in at the media tent if you plan to interview, photograph or videotape participants at the event.

 

Who: The event is free and participants will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 9:30 a.m. and continuing until everyone who has registered by 3 p.m. has been seen.

 

More than 500 clinical and non-clinical volunteers have signed up to help out at Via Christi’s Medical Mission at Home: A Day of Free Healthcare.
