Ulrich Museum announces Art For Your Ears outdoor concert series summer lineup

Expand your artistic experience this summer with Art For Your Ears, an outdoor concert series featuring a variety of musical genres presented by the Ulrich Museum of Art. Bring a lawn chair, relax in the scenery of the Wichita State University campus, visit the galleries and enjoy the evening’s free concert. Admission is free and open to the public.

Art For Your Ears concerts are held at the Ulrich Museum of Art on the McKnight Art Center Plaza (west of the Ulrich Museum). The rain location is the WSU Campus Activities Center Theater to the west of the Rhatigan Student Center.

The museum galleries will open at 6:30 p.m., performances begin at 7 p.m. and light refreshments will be provided.

Thursday, July 9: Nikki Moddelmog and Shane Marler with Dennis Hardin

Locally grown singer and songwriter Nikki Moddelmog, takes the stage with Shane Marler and Dennis Hardin performing soulful melodies and their unique blend of jazz infused folk songs.

Thursday, August 6: Doug MacLeod

MacLeod, winner of the Blues Music Awards Acoustic Artist of theYear and Acoustic Album of the Year, will ply his multiple talents as a singer/songwriter, storyteller, and blues guitar player. MacLeod is an international touring artist.

Tuesday, September 1: The Calamity Cubes!

With hard-driving banjo, upright bass and acoustic guitar, The Calamity Cubes! blend traditional country, folk and bluegrass with the fire of an 80s punk band. Rarely seen in their hometown of Wichita, The Calamity Cubes! frequently tour the United States.
