Fresh vegetables and fruit are almost in season!  Farmer’s Markets across the state are opening now!

The Harvey County Farmers’ Market begins May 20 and will be open from 8:00 AM until noon on Saturday’s until October!  Our market meets in the parking lot ½ block East of 6th and Main in Newton.  As you know vegetables and fruit ripen “seasonally” so you will only be able to find those items that are ready to sell now.

The Harvey County Farmers’ Market is a “locally grown and locally produced” market.  You know it is fresh and local from our market making the vegetables and fruit unique to Harvey County and bordering counties.  Not every market has this distinction!

We have growers that have been with our market for many years and many customers know them on a first name basis.  Our grower reputations are outstanding.  So if you want fresh and desire to support local growers this is the market to shop!

Let’s not forget the bakers in the market.  Breads, pies and cinnamon rolls are just a few items offered at the market.  We also have jellies and much more.  The Harvey County Farmers market is a great place to be and shop!

The Tuesday market will start soon!  Look for a June start with the exact date to be determined!
