Hutchinson, KS – Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, a member of the Hutchinson Regional
Healthcare System, will host First Course, a free, public educational event, on Tuesday, August
19, 2014. A. Jamil Ahmed, M.D., a Cardiologist with the Hutchinson Clinic, will present
“Varicose Veins: Diagnosis & Treatment,” during the presentation and question and answer
First Course will be held in the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center Pavilion, with doors
opening at 4:45 pm, hors d’oeuvres served at 5:00 pm and the presentation beginning at 5:30 pm.
Dr. Ahmed attended medical school at the Aga Khan University Medical School, Karachi,
Pakistan. He then completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the State University of New
York, Syracuse, NY, followed by a Cardiology Fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia,
Augusta, GA, and an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Virginia Medical
Center, Charlottesville, VA. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine
– Cardiology, American Board of Internal Medicine – Interventional Cardiology, Certification
Board of Nuclear Cardiology, Certification Board of Cardiovascular Computerized Tomography
and the Registration Physician Vascular Interpretation (RPVI-ARDMS).
