KPTS Seeking Award Nominations for Veterans Coming Home

WICHITA, Kan. – On Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Holiday Inn Wichita East, KPTS-Channel 8 will recognize four outstanding veterans and one local business that serves veterans at Veterans Coming Home: A Banquet Honoring our Veterans 2017.

It is easy to nominate a worthy veteran, visit www.kpts.org, and click on the Veteran’s Coming Home Banquet button. Complete the “Distinguished Veteran Service Nomination Form” and email it to [email protected] or drop off or mail the form to KPTS-Channel 8, Attn: Distinguished Veteran Service Award Committee, 320 West 21st St. North, Wichita, KS 67203. The deadline for nominations is Oct. 9, 2017.

This year’s Veterans Coming Home: A Banquet Honoring Our Veterans 2017 will include keynote speaker Mark “Oz” Geist who co-authored the bestselling book, “13 Hours: The Inside account of What Really Happened in Benghazi.” Geist will share what it was like to be part of the mission that saved the lives of 25 Americans. Sponsorships and tickets are still available for this event. Banquet tickets are $100 each.
VIP Tickets are $150 each. VIP tickets include the banquet and an invitation to the meet and greet and book signing with Mark Geist. Please let us know if you are a veteran who would like to attend, but do not have the resources to do so. We have a set number of seats paid for by sponsors so veterans can attend.
