LYONS, KS. Beginning August 6, 2017, from 1 to 3 p.m., the Rice County Historical Society’s Coronado Quivira Museum will hold a reception to open the exhibit “Quilts from the Rice County Historical Society’s Collection.” Sixty quilts have been donated to the Museum since 1928 when the Museum was established. Although the quilt donors are known, many quilt patterns are not. If visitors to the exhibit can help the museum staff identify a pattern or two, it will be most appreciated.
The exhibition will be available to the public from August 6, 2017 to October 4, 2017. The Coronado Quivira Museum at 105 West Lyon, Lyons, Kansas, is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For more information call (620) 257-3941.
