LYONS, KS. The exhibit, “Quilts from the Rice County Historical Society’s Collection,” will close on October 3, 2017. This popular exhibit has sixty quilts which have been donated to the Museum since 1928 on display. Several quilts date back to the nineteenth century. Although the quilt donors are known, many quilt patterns are not. If visitors to the exhibit can help the museum staff identify a pattern or two, it will be most appreciated.
The exhibition will be available to the public until October 3, 2017. The Coronado Quivira Museum at 105 West Lyon, Lyons, Kansas, is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For more information call (620) 257-3941.
