Salina Symphony Announces Y0uth Symphony and Youth Choir Spring Concerts

March 27, 2017, SALINA, KAN.—The talent of 170 young musicians will be on display at the Salina Youth Symphony Spring Concert Sunday, April 9, at 6:30 p.m. at the Stiefel Theatre. The concert will feature members of the Salina Youth Symphony, Junior Youth Symphony and Preparatory Orchestra.

 

The Salina Youth Symphony features a full orchestra of advanced string, wind, brass and percussion musicians under the under the direction of Ken Hakoda. The Junior Youth Symphony is full intermediate orchestra performing under the baton of Henry Littich. The Preparatory Orchestra, a beginning string orchestra, will be conducted by Lindsay Modin.

 

Single admission is $15 for adults and $8 for students. Tickets may be purchased at the Stiefel Theatre Box Office, 151 S. Santa Fe, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, by calling (785) 827-1998 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

 

The Salina Youth Choir Spring Concert will be held Sunday, April 23, at 4 p.m. at Christ Cathedral. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, and may be purchased at the door. Seating will open at 3:30 p.m.

 

The Salina Youth Choir features 43 members under the direction of Jenna Eshleman.
