Beau Arndt Foundation Outdoor Days in conjunction with the 6th annual Kansas Hunting & Fishing Expo on Saturday begins today. The event is from 10am-4pm today and Noon-4pm tomorrow at Peter Pan Park and Riverside Elementary School.

The Kansas Bowhunters Association will have the archery booth set-up for all ages to come by and visit, learn about the outdoor sport of bowhunting and archery while participating in shooting at 3-D and archery targets.  The events will also include door prizes and drawings, waterfowl/turkey hunting and fishing/trapping demonstrations, certified antler scoring and many more activities for children and adults alike.

Beau Arndt foundation is dedicated to a young man who was killed by a poacher while goose hunting up near Americus, KS in December 2007.  His parents started their foundation and this event in memory of him and his love for the outdoors in order to introduce other young people to the outdoor activities and lifestyle their son loved while helping children and their families enjoy the outdoors safely.

More information on KBA and Arndt Foundation be found on their websites: thekbasite.com and beauarndtfoundation.org.
