Bethany College will honor emergency services personnel at the Swedes home football game September 12 at 7 pm against Langston University with free admission to recognize their contributions to Bethany College, Lindsborg, and our country as a whole.

“Emergency Serivces Personnel are on the front lines of emergencies in our community, in the region and in the nation on a daily basis. Hosting these valuable people during one of our athletic events, will hopefully be seen as Bethany College’s appreciation for such vital members of our community,” said Dean of Athletics and Student Development, Dane Pavlovich.

Head Football Coach Paul Hubbard said, “I am truly grateful for the community groups that are committed not only to the well being of the Bethany College students, but also to the Lindsborg and surrounding communities. I hope all can make it to the game so we can personally thank you for all that you do.”

Bethany College invites all police, fire fighters, and Emergency Medical personnel including first responders, emergency medical technicians, advanced emergency medical technicians, paramedics and all hospital workers to come to the Swedes football game when Bethany takes on the 18th ranked team in the country.

“September 11 has become an opportunity for communities to recognize and show appreciation to those First Responders who at great personal risk make our communities safe and healthy,” Dr. Robert Vogel, Bethany College President, said. “Bethany College appreciates the hard work and sacrifice that the First Responders make to keep our students, our campus and our community safe. This is an opportunity for us to recognize, thank, and honor them for their service.”
