Pratt Community College’s head softball coach, Mike Manderino resigned earlier this week to spend time with his family, and to seek out other professional prospects.

“I want to thank everyone at Pratt and in the Pratt communiyy for their continual support during my four years as head softball coach,” Manderino said. “I would like to thank Kurt McAfee for giving me the opportunity to lead Beaver softball. I would like to thank Dr. Calvert, Bill Wilson, and the board of trustees for their support over the years. Also, I wish to thank the players I have had the opportunity to coach. They have put forth an outstanding effort both on the field and in the classroom. Their efforts have been recognized by both the faculty and in the Pratt community.”

While Manderino was thankful for his time at PCC, officials were also thankful for what he did during his time at the college.

“We want to thank Mike for his dedication to Pratt Community College and we appreciate the contributions he has made to our softball program,” said athletic director Bill Wilson. “We wish Mike and his family great success with their future endeavors.”

Coach Manderino took over the softball program in the fall of 2012. He ends his tenure as head coach of the Beavers with a 56-132-1 record.

“I wish the best for PCC and everyone associated, as I will continue to support PCC in all endeavors,” Manderino said.
