A loaded 2015-16 schedule awaits the Wichita State men’s tennis team this season, and the first step of that slate begins this weekend in Midland, Texas, at the Midland Fall Invitational.
“We have started our season the past few years in Midland,” said head coach Brad Louderback who enters his eighth season at WSU. “It’s a strong field, great run tournament and the hospitality is second to none.”
Senior captain, Tin Ostojic, who finished the 2014-15 campaign ranked No. 49 in singles and No. 39 in doubles, enters this season ranked No. 26 in the ITA Preseason Singles Rankings. Ostojic recorded NCAA first round victories in both singles and doubles as a junior.
The Shockers also return senior Sergio de Vilchez, junior Jocelyn Devilliers and sophomores Miroslav Herzan and Jon Meyer. Devilliers and Herzan come back after solid seasons in which they went 20-11 and 18-8 in singles, respectively.
