WSU in 11th Place After Day 2

The Wichita State women’s golf team is in 11th place after two days of play at the Golfweek Conference Challenge at Red Sky Golf Club. The team was in sixth place after the first round.

Junior Maria Alejandra Villalobos is now leading the team with a score of 151. Villalobos shot a 77 in the first round and a 74 in the second, putting her tied for 23rd place.

Sophomore Taryn Torgerson is tied for 33rd after shooting a 73 yesterday and an 80 today for a total of 153.

Senior Bryce Schroeder shot a 77 in the first round and an 80 in the second for a total of 157 and is tied for 53rd place.

Freshman Gavrilla Arya is tied for 72nd after shooting 79-84-163 so far in the Challenge.

Senior Meghan Schuetz is tied for 79th after shooting a 75 yesterday and a 90 today, totaling 165.

The Shockers will look to improve tomorrow for the third and final round.
