I JUST CAN’T HELP IT

“SUPPOSE YOU WERE AN IDIOT, AND SUPPOSE YOU WERE
A MEMBER OF CONGRESS; BUT I REPEAT MYSELF.”
Mark Twain

I can’t help it, politics rears it’s ugly head. Lets get on the same page here, the cop was a jerk keeping his knee on the drug overdosing guy that had been fighting them. No matter what you feel and how much you agree with the convictions there was no way that justice has been served. One alternate juror has stated that he would have been afraid of having his house burned down had he and those who did convict, had not gone all the way. One juror has been pictured with the family wearing a T shirt with the victims name on it, and stated that getting on juries to make sure things change. So much for impartial. So the verdict was made with the threat of mob violence as the major factor.

Rep. Waters proclaimed to the crowd that if he was not convicted that the people should intensify the riots, burning, and looting. Everyone from the president and vice-president were pushing for conviction. The jurors were not sequestered so probably heard every radical and all news organizations that were demanding a conviction. Do you reckon that they were all looking out of their windows at night?

So was justice done? Go back to the perfect example of Democracy in action, the French Revolution. It was justice by mob rule. They would lop off the heads of anyone demanded by the mob including those who supported them. Justice?

Under our Republic we are protected from popular demand by Due Process. Do we have Due Process any more? You may gleefully feel that justice was done until it is you the mob turns on.

I would much rather be talking about fun subjects other than politics but who is going to stand for right? Those who believe that I am ruining this country by believing in fairness, honesty, thrift, a right to earn, the ability to forgive, the freedom to worship, the belief in every job being essential, the sacred duty to defend the rights given by God and protected by the Constitution, what do you believe in?

I see an entire party trying to take our country down the path of Venezuela. A party that will not discuss an issue. A group that is intent on taking freedoms that have been protected by blood. No responsibility for their actions and determined to destroy whomever stands in their way. I am afraid of writing about the late, great, United States of America. I will not be afforded the chance by the Central Committee.
