Explain to me why mascots and trade marks are racist? As a student and alumni the mascot has always been a source of pride and represents qualities that each should aspire to and take away from the institution.
Are people ashamed of Indians? They want to change the Wichita North High mascot from the Indians. Am I missing out here? They should not be proud of Indians? That seems racist to me. They no longer feel the spirit of the Indian is something to aspire to?
Maybe all the Indian head nickels will be melted down. Would not want collectors to value them. Drop the Redskin image? Well they have not struck fear into the hearts of NFL teams the last few years. The bogus story of the redskin that they put out is more racist than the team name. I would drop Washington from the name. A swamp full of self centered narcissists.
Aunt Jammima and Uncle Ben have always been symbols of quality. Now they are gone as well as the Indian maid from Land O Lakes. Isn’t removing them racist?

Columbus did not own a slave, that was the English and Dutch that brought them over about 200 years later.
If you believe peaceful protests consist of bats, 2x4s, frozen water bottles, molatov cocktails, and rifles you are not protected by the second amendment. Maybe you should not tear down statues.
