Hold the press! I messed up, made a mistake, stubbed my toe, put out bad information, I am still human!
In my last column I told the story of Abby the Spoon Lady who is one of my favorite independent musicians. Not because I know her or have met her. And beside the fact that I have so many artists as friends and hero’s, I wanted to tell her story to get all of those in government to stop and consider that street artists are good for any size town and city to have. they are good for business.
But the style of street performance that I called Busting is actually BUSKING. Brain fart, oops, mistake.
Let me repeat. The style of independent street entertaining is known as BUSKING!
I also am fond of anyone who is a Kansan going out and making their mark. Abby the Spoon Lady is originally from Wichita Kansas. She has quite a story and history. As you know I am very much a lover of Kansas and Kansans. I want to make this correction.
How did I figure out my mistake? A very good friend very patiently pointed out my mistake and very graciously asked me how I got Busting out of Busking. and of course the proper answer is my faulty brain. In other words, a BRAIN FART.
