Flying Stanley and his late owner-trainer Duane Randle were inducted in to the Greyhound Hall of Fame October 13 during the National Greyhound Associations fall meet. Flying Stanley was an Abilene born, Kansas trained greyhound who had some career earnings of $694,000 over his career as a racer, which included eight stake race wins. Pari-mutuel wagering was approved in Kansas in 1986. Both of the Kansas City and Wichita tracks operated from 1986 to 2008, when they both ceased operation.
