Nuremberg Sgt. of the Guard To Speak at Eisenhower Presidential Library in Abilene

World War ll Kansas veteran, Jim Sharp, Sgt. of the Guard at the Nuremberg trial, will present a program on September 29 at 7 P.M. in the Visitors Center Auditorium at the Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum and Boyhood Home. Sharp was present at the Palace of Justice in Nuremberg, Germany, when top Nazi leaders were captured and put on trial at the Four Power International Military Tribunal. He also helped arrest civil and military members of Nazi leadership as well as being responsible for security in the courtroom, prison cell and exercise area and internal and external security. Also on display will be a prison door from Nuremberg, on loan from the 1st Infantry Division Museum at Ft. Riley.
