McPherson Hospital suspended some services due to water line rupture

A ruptured water line discovered in the McPherson County Hospital, was discovered in the early hours of Tuesday, October 18. The rupture flooded parts of the east annex building and also caused the boilers, used to heat water and circulate the conditioned air, to be shut down for repairs.  The hospital transferred all in-house patients to area facilities and canceled all surgical procedures and in-house patient clinics for the day. Crew worked throughout the day to make the repairs to get the hospital functioning again a soon as possible. On Wednesday all the departments were function with the exception if the surgical suite which suspended surgeries temporarily. Some patient clinics were relocated to other offices with staffing at the hospital entrance to direct patients and visitors.
