Newton: Garden Tour June 11-12

The gallery is participating in the Newton Public Library’s 2016 Flower & Garden Tour Saturday and Sunday June 11 and 12; Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Sunday hours are 1 to 5 p.m.

Our private courtyard park with its fountain imported from England and mosaic and painted birdhouses created by gallery artists will also feature selected works of art on easels placed in the park (weather permitting). Our baby rabbit may also be hopping about.

Inside the gallery, visitors can enjoy the “Art in Bloom” exhibit on the mezzanine featuring watercolors, pastels, oils, mixed media, colored pencil, photography, and paper, clay, and wood sculptures by 14 artists.

Mary Lee McDonald will give a presentation on creating mosaics from 11 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and 3 t0 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Four residential gardens will also be featured on the library tour. Tickets are available for a suggested $8 donation, which will benefit the library. We are pleased to collaborate with community organizations such as the library.
