The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a fatal hit-and-run that happened over the weekend in Goddard. Monday, the sheriff’s office said they have spoken with a person who was driving in that area at the time, and that deputies have inspected that vehicle. They are not, however, calling that person a suspect. The sheriff’s office is still asking the public to call if they might have seen what happened. Around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, 36-year-old Aaron Matej of Pretty Prairie was walking near 13th and 183rd streets when he was hit. He died later at an area hospital.
