Halloween is right around the corner and giant bags of candy line store shelves ahead of the season. This year, Americans are expected to spend more than $3 billion on Halloween candy, up from $2.41 billion in 2020, according to an annual National Retail Federation survey.

In Kansas, the candy of choice is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, which ranked the most popular for Halloween, according to CandyStore.com’s annual look at top Halloween candies. M&M’s came in at No. 2, while Sour Patch Kids was No. 3.

Nationally, Reese’s was No. 1, followed by Skittles and M&M’s.
