Kansas Championship Ranch rodeo 29 will be September 22 & 23, 7:30 p.m., at the Pageant Arena, near Medicine Lodge! A committee of the Medicine Lodge Peace Treaty Association, the KS Championship Ranch Rodeo is sanctioned by the Working Ranch Cowboys association. Both organizations work to build and preserve our Heritage, one of the Native American, and other to preserve our rich KS Ranching Heritage.
The KS Championship Ranch rodeo invites twelve Kansas ranch teams to compete in one of the last few Ranch Rodeos, sanctioned by the W R C A, working to qualify for the World Championship Ranch Rodeo, at the Amarillo Civic Center, November 9 – 12.
This year’s teams are: Alfalfa Co, Sun City; Arndt & Bailey, Emporia & Cottonwood Falls; Broken H & Hebb, Bronson & Fall River; Buck Creek & Caylor, Cottonwood Falls & Blue Mound; Eight Over Quarter Circle & Golden Belt, Abilene & Stafford Co.; Haywire & Southwestern, ElDorado & Ashland; Lazy B, Ellsworth; Lonesome Pine, Cedar Point; Robbins & Keith, Cottonwood Falls & Allen; Scribner & C5T, ElDorado & Benton; Snyder & Woolfolk, Coldwater & Protection; and Stock & Felt, Redfield & Ft. Scott.
The Midwest Ranch Horse Show, sponsored by the Midwest Ranch Horse Association, will be Saturday, September 23 at 9 a.m. at the Pageant Arena, on Rodeo Road. Other activities this year include the Peace Treaty Pow Wow, at the Pavilion in the City Park AND Indian Summer Days at the Stockade Museum, will bring good food & great entertainment!
2018, will bring the Big Kansas Road Trip, May 3 – 6, in Barber, Comanche and Kiowa Counties, from the Gyp Hills to the High Plains! (A new exciting way for KS Explorers to see Kansas places unknown to travelers & explorers!
Fall of 2018 will bring The Peace Treaty Re-enactment, and all other activities, the week-end of September 28 – 30, in and near Medicine Lodge!
