Judges Training for County Fairs

Have you ever considered judging a 4-H event at a county fair? It can be a great way to give back to the 4-H program, and make some spending money! Register to attend the 4-H Judges Workshop to get the training you need to be able to judge 4-H projects at county fairs.

The workshop will be held April 25th at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 407 E. 12th in Hutchinson, KS. Registration will begin at 3:30 PM and the first session will be from 4:00 PM-5:00 PM, followed by a BBQ dinner and a second session from 6:30-8:00 PM.

Options for session one include training on judging 4-H Foods, Photography, Posters and Displays, Crops and Flowers. Session two includes training on judging 4-H Foods (cont.), Arts and Crafts, Talks and Demonstrations, and Horticulture and Herbs.

The objective of this workshop is to improve judge’s skills in using standards of conference evaluation while providing project information in various subjects. Each participant will be able to attend the general session over dinner and two subject area sessions.
