Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center honors Vets for the entire month of November

WICHITA, Kan.. The Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center will be honoring Veterans for the entire month of November. In coordination with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) and other VA Medical Centers across the United States, the Dole VAMC will host daily events to support and honor Veterans for their service.

 

“Every day is Veterans Day at this facility,” said Dole VAMC Director Rick Ament. “However, we intend to make this month special.”

 

The following are some of the events offered in the month of November:
November 1: Dole VAMC Open House, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Main Entrance.

Sterile Processing Services Ground Breaking, 2-3 p.m.

November 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 28, 30: Veterans are encouraged to contact the     Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center’s Public Affairs Office and participate in the Tell Your Story video project. Share something interesting about your military career and experiences in the service of your country. Veterans will be given a 5- to 10-minute video as a keepsake, and storytellers will be featured on the Dole VAMC Facebook page. November 11:   Downtown Wichita Veterans Day Parade featuring Veterans from the Transitional Living Center (TLC). See the parade and cheer these honored Vets as they pass by.

November 1,8,15, 22, 29: Cake will be offered at the new Primary Care Facility, Bldg. 29. Each week at 1:00 p.m., a cake will be dedicated to a different military service.

November 28, Town Hall, 1-3 p.m. Learn about VA programs and have your questions and concerns addressed. Be heard. Join fellow Vets in comradeship.
