Dear Reno County partner,

In the fall of 2021, you convened a group to discuss how you and your peers would prioritize spending of the $17-plus million coming to Reno County from the American Rescue Plan Act. Without the willingness of residents like you to arrange meetings, the Reno County Resident Engagement initiative would not have been possible. The Reno County ARPA Task Force thanks you for your interest in and commitment to the future of our community and thanks you for convening a meeting.

Kansas State University’s LEADCOMM Associates were busy in the late fall and early winter of last year sifting through the data collected at those meetings and assembling a report of the findings. That report and the task force’s recommendations will be presented for each body’s consideration at the Jan. 25 Reno County Commission meeting and Feb. 1 Hutchinson City Council meeting.

Attached to this message are the report and recommendations. You may also view a video overview of the report from K-State project lead Dr. Sean Eddington, which will be presented at the meetings.

Watch video: https://youtu.be/7XrFgE2GrwA.

These items will also be available at rallyreno.org beginning Jan. 25.

I encourage you to view the attachments and video and share them with those who attended your session to help ensure they know about and have access to the findings.

Respectfully,Reno County Resident Engagement for ARPA funds
