Join us for a fun program you may not have heard of. “Vermicomposting” is the process of composting kitchen scraps into a usable and valuable organic amendment and nutrient source for your garden and house plants.

Learn the many benefits of vermicomposting in and around your home. Learn how truly amazing worms are! This takes very little space in the home and is a fun project for the classroom.

This program will be at 6:30 pm in the meeting room on the 2nd floor of 215 S. Pine Street in Newton. This is a free program but please RSVP by January 26 is you are interested in attending this educational program! Call 316-284-6930 or email [email protected].

As a reminder the 2026 Harvey County Home and Garden Show will be March 21 and 22 this year. Stay tuned for details. And if you have additional questions, your Harvey County Extension office is moving to 215 S. Pine St. and will re-open January 21st!
