Corning, Kan. — The Statewide Women in Ag Conference will be held Saturday, March 21, in Corning, Kansas. The free, adult-only event is hosted by the Nemaha, Jackson, and Pottawatomie County Conservation Districts and is open to both women and men involved in or connected to agriculture.
Doors will open at 8:00 a.m., with the conference beginning promptly at 8:30 a.m. The agenda includes a full day of educational sessions focused on agriculture, farm sustainability, marketing, stress management, and economic decision-making. Participants will hear from a variety of speakers and panelists representing different perspectives and experiences within the agricultural community.
Conference sessions will address topics such as strengthening personal and professional relationships, reducing stress through social connection, diversifying farm income, connecting with consumers, understanding markets and risk, and identifying common challenges faced by farm operations. The day will conclude at 3:30 p.m. with closing remarks and door prizes.
A light breakfast will be available in the morning, and lunch will be provided by Home Cookin. There is no cost to attend; however, registration is required by March 1.
The Statewide Women in Ag Conference has become a recognized educational opportunity in the region, providing a setting for learning, discussion, and connection among those involved in agriculture.
