City Manager Josh Shaw has decided to turn down a 3 percent merit raise for his job performance and has asked the city council to transfer the monies in to the city’s Employee Benefit Fund. Shaw’s raise comes after the City of Augusta extended his contract as City Manager for two-years. His new contract guarantees his annual salary and benefits through December 2020.
