August High School Vocal and Instrumental Music Department participated in the KSHSAA State Festival April 25 at Andover High School. Students qualified for the state contest by achieving a “I” rating at the regional contest held April 11. The following students earned “I” ratings at the state cotest:
Journey Bodyk, voice; Noah Meineke, bass clarinet; Nathaniel Wheatley, trumpet; Elizabeth Doell, trumet; Nate Kroeker, trombone; Sydney Williams, flute; Flute Trio, Concert Choir. Accompanists were Carrie Natvig, Kay McCollom, & Denita Stemet. Music Instructors are Rachael Simons, vocal, and Todd Hollis, instrumental.
