Larned: Proposed bill would bring funds and pay raise to mental hospital

A bill put forth by the Kansas House Appropriations Committee could add $3 million to the current budgets of the state’s mental hospitals in Larned and Osawatomie if passed. The bill would also give uniformed corrections officers at state prisons a 2.5 percent pay raise.
