Shreves Avery was recognized for 40 years of banking service to the Peabody Community and surround area. Community members had a chance to reminisce about “the old days” at a reception held on Monday, September 26. Shreves started working at Peabody state Bank in May of 1976 as a vice president and cashier. He was elected as president of PSB in 1987 after his father’s retirement. He was promoted to chairman of the Board of Directors in 2012.
