Lindsborg: The Bethany College Choir and Chamber Choir along with the Bethany College Handbell Ensemble will perform Thursday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Pearson Chapel at Bethany.
The 2015 Tour Send-Off Concert will begin the groups’ annual spring concert series, which will continue on May 18 with a performance at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Clayton, Missouri at 7 p.m. Other performances on the tour will include: St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cincinnati on May 19 at 7 p.m.; Lutheran Theological Seminary Chapel in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on May 20 at 7:30 p.m.; Augustana Lutheran Church in Washington, D.C. on May 21 at 7 p.m.; and St. Peter’s Church in New York City on May 24 at 11 a.m. While on tour, the students will also participate in a service project at a retired veterans home in Washington, D.C.
The performance program will feature works by Telemann, Haydn, Whitacre, Mozart, Pelz and more. The concert is free and open to the public.
