USD 266 names new superintendent

Maize: Chad Higgins has been named the new superintendent of USD 266.  The district made the announcement Tuesday morning.  Higgins comes to Maize from Moundridge, where he’s been superintendent since 2009.  He is a graduate of Emporia State and Fort Hays State Universities and previously served as principal of Douglass High School.  He was one of four candidates the School Board was considering. The candidate replaces current Superintendent, Doug Powers, who turned in his resignation, effective June 30^th
