Several graduates from Yates Center High School have received Scholarships

The following Yates Center High School graduates have received Scholarships from Fort Hays University: Brett McGee, a 2014 graduate and a Cloud County Community College transfer student, accepted a $1,740 Elmer F. Johnson and Alma D. Johnson Scholarship. Brett is the son of Ron and Valerie McGee, Yates Center, plans to major in agriculture. Richard Mentzer, a 2014 graduate and an Allen County Community College transfer student, accepted a $1,500 FHSU Transfer Student Award. Richard is the son of Richard and Tammy Mentzer, Yates Center, plans to major in tourism and hospitality management.
