FHSU hosts virtual Noyce Summer Conference
for early-career STEM teachers

 

HAYS, Kan. – Fort Hays State University’s College of Education is hosting a virtual Noyce Summer Conference for early-career STEM teachers.

Matt Krehbiel, director of Outreach for OpenSieEd, will address the demand for high-quality, open-source full-course science instructional materials aligned with Next Generation Science Standards. Will Dunn, president-elect of the Kansas Association of Teachers of Mathematics, will also be presenting.

Other topics to be covered include Resources in Mathematics, Money Matters, Teacher Culture, Professional Practice and Practical Advice, Teaching and Learning, and Phenomenon Based Instruction.

The on-line conference is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, and 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday, July 9.

The deadline to register is Tuesday, July 3, 2020. Register at https://www.fhsu.edu/smei/noyce/registration-form.  There is no registration fee.
