Here Are the Democratic Senate Candidates Hoping

You Won’t Ask About Kamala Harris

WASHINGTON, DC – It’s a well-known fact Democratic Senate candidates across the country have adopted the Chuck Schumer playbook, locking themselves in a “windowless basement” to raise cash from liberal donors while refusing to answer questions about, well, anything.

So it’s no surprise so many of them are in hiding hoping you won’t ask what they think about California progressive Kamala Harris’ addition to the Democratic ticket.

That’s right, as of this morning Mark Kelly, Cal Cunningham, Theresa Greenfield, Steve Bullock, and Barbara Bollier haven’t tweeted one single thing about Harris’ selection or their thoughts about what she brings to the ticket.

That might be because Harris is wildly out of step with voters in these Trump-won states.

During the Democratic primary, Harris endorsed decriminalizing illegal immigration, eliminating private health insurance, and implementing a Green New Deal. Harris’ Senate tenure was similarly controversial, comparing ICE to the KKK and promoting debunked accusations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. And that’s just scratching the surface.

Shouldn’t these candidates be challenged on whether they agree with the VP nominee they’ll be sharing the ballot with in November?

They can’t hide from this question forever.
